Heartsaver® CPR AED

The Heartsaver CPR AED course teaches participants how to administer CPR and operate an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely, promptly, and effectively. This course is based on the scientific and educational principles found in the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Designed for individuals with limited or no medical training, the AHA Heartsaver CPR AED course is ideal for those who need a course completion card in CPR and AED use to fulfill job, regulatory, or other requirements. Participants learn how high-quality CPR improves survival, understand the concepts of the Chain of Survival, and recognize when someone needs CPR. They will be trained to perform high-quality CPR for adults, work collaboratively with others during CPR, and provide effective breaths using mouth-to-mouth or a mask for all age groups.

Additionally, participants will learn how to use an AED on adults and children, perform high-quality CPR for children and infants, and assist choking adults, children, and infants.
